Credit Card Authorization Holds
Why does my credit card company place a hold on my credit balance if my order did not go through?
If you did not receive an order confirmation number at the end of the transaction, your order was not completed and your credit/debit card has not been charged. Your credit card company will reserve funds for purchases from credit and/or debit cards every time you attempt to place an order. These reserved funds will appear back on to your credit card balance as per your bank/credit card agreement. Generally, this takes 3-7 business days. We do not and cannot control the bank policies. We will only collect monies on your account if the transaction is successfully completed.

Authorization hold (also card authorization, preauthorization, or preauth) is the practice within the banking industry of authorizing electronic transactions done with a debit card or credit card and holding this balance as unavailable until either the merchant clears the transaction, or the hold "falls off." Authorization holds can fall off the account, thus rendering the balance available again, anywhere from 1 to 8 to 30 business days after the transaction date depending on your bank's policy

When a transaction is cancelled, you still may see a pending charge.
Pending charges are just authorizations, and not an actual charge.
If your order was cancelled, the pending charge will be removed in 1-14 business days.
